Considering quitting any substance, whether or not you feel it is an addiction, may mean a change of lifestyle and a transition in the way you make decisions in your world.  We can help you decide what your priorities are now, and how you want to manage or abstain from your substance use.  Motivational Interviewing is the primary approach we use, and teach Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills to help with any problems you see in getting where you want to go.  When substance use is an issue, family and loved ones also deal with whatever change you might choose or not choose.  They can be included in any way that you decide is important.

Due to the physiologically damaging nature of addiction, our therapist may recommend also first seeking inpatient or outpatient care depending on severity of the substance abuse. We can also offer consultation sessions to determine level of care that might be needed prior to starting Individual Therapy.
